ECO-JEWELLERY AUCTION
BACK

On Thursday 19 August 2004 Melbourne Friends of Lake Cowal presented an Eco-Jewellery Auction at inner city bar, Bourgie.

30 jewellers from around Melbourne donated jewellery made from recycled and found materials in support of the Save Lake Cowal Campaign.

The night was a success raising over $3000 towards the Lake Cowal Campaign. $2000 was given directly to Traditional owner Uncle Neville 'Chappy' Williams towards his ongoing court costs in the fight for sovereignty at Lake Cowal.

DID YOU KNOW?
Approxiamately 80% of all gold produced is for jewellery. It takes 18 tonnes of earth, generating 12 cubic metres of tailings, to produce enough gold for an average wedding band. For more info visit: www.nodirtygold.org
